Michelle

Expert Dental Hygienist

I became part of Dr Shaws’ team in January 2014. My journey as a hygienist began in 2001 as a single mother of a 1 yr old little girl (Bethanee) when I decided to get my pre-requisites and apply to EWU dental hygiene program.  She was my reason for wanting more and my drive to stay focused on the goal. I have so much to be thankful for, including a beautiful family, a wonderful career, and a boss that is by far the best dentist I have ever worked with.

I graduated from EWU with a Baccalaureate degree in Dental Hygiene in 2006. From the beginning of the challenging program until the very end, I was convinced that I had found the perfect career for me. I have a passion for people, their health and patient education. Currently, during the school year I volunteer for local schools to educate children on how and why it is important to take care of their teeth.

I have been married to my husband since 2006 and we love to hang out with family, having barbeques and go camping. I have been also challenging my skills in gardening and catering, both of which I find a great satisfaction and can always use a few ideas.

I enjoy meeting new patients and getting to know what your passions are. I also love the opportunity to help patients have healthy gums and a wonderful smile they can be proud of.

Reneé

Senior Assistant

Working at the side of Dr. Shaw for over 26 years, my main goal has been to ensure our patients recieve the highest quality care and are as comfortable as possible during their dental procedures. I enjoy getting to know our patients and helping them have a good dental experience. Everyone on our team treats our patients as we would want our family to be treated

I was born and raised in Superior Montana where I graduated from Superior High School. After high school I followed in my mom's footsteps and became a Dental Assistant.  Something not too many people know about me is I worked in Homer Alaska for a year and a half before I got home sick and came back to Washington.

When I am not in the office, I love being outside walking, rafting the Clark Fork river, riding bikes and spending time with friends and family. My favorite thing to do is fish for Walleye on Lake Roosevelt or in Northern Minnesota.

Nicole

Office Administrator

When you first walk into Dr Shaw's office I will be the first person to greet you! I am here to assist patients with scheduling appointments, coordinating financial arrangements, treatment planning and filing insurance.   I will be the first and last smile you see upon each visit. My favorite part of working with Dr Shaw is the genuine connection patients share with each and every member of our team.

I was born and raised in Deer Park where I graduated high school. After high school I attended Spokane Falls Community College and received my Associates of Arts. I then transferred to Eastern Washington University where I am now at studying for my bachelors in Health Services Administration.

I've competed in barrel racing my entire life, starting at small local junior rodeos  and now traveling the state of Washington to competitive barrel races and Pro-West rodeo's. Other than rodeo I like to go camping, ride four-wheelers, go hiking and pretty much anything outdoors you can imagine. A large portion of my time goes to my two dogs, my Border Collie and toy size Australian Sheppard.

Katrina

Dental Assistant

I joined Dr Shaw's team after I graduated from college in 2000. For the past 16 years I have dedicated myself to helping Dr Shaw deliver exceptional dental care to all of his patients.  My inspiration to starting my career as a dental assistant was that I love to help people.  I also love dentistry here in the United States compared to my home country, because Dr Shaw does quality dental work and that inspires me to be the best assistant as I can be.  I was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan, where I graduated High School. I then moved to the United States in 1996, I attended Spokane Community College, where I received my Dental Assisting diploma.

I enjoy playing sports, especially volleyball, camping with my family and friends. I also love cooking, gardening and taking care of my German Sheppard and cat. I also love to spend time with my family and teaching the children in Sunday school.
